RAC-DOS: USG, Dean of Students Fall Meeting

Sponsored by the University System of Georgia, Mental Health Initiative

In collaboration with the fall NABITA training, the Regents Advisory Committee-Dean of Students will hold its Fall 2022 meeting on Wednesday, November 2 from 8:30 a.m. – Noon.  RAC-DOS members are invited to join the NABITA training at the conclusion of our meeting. A separate registration is necessary for the NABITA Advanced SIVRA-35 and VRAWW training. That registration can be found at NABITA – Advance Violence Risk Assessment.

In addition, RAC-DOS members are invited to a special pre-meeting dinner on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., at the Georgia Center. For all RAC-DOS dinner attendees the USG Mental Health Initiative will also cover the cost of hotel accommodations on the evening of November 1st.

Speaker:
David Denino, LPC, NCC, President, NABITA; 2017-2018 Past-President

David has presented at many state and national conferences and is a master trainer of Question Persuade Refer (QPR). A certified clinical trauma professional, David is also a Red Cross mental health first responder and is the mental health lead for the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. As such, he has assisted with relief efforts for hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, and Harvey as well as provided mental health support at the Sandy Hook and Las Vegas shootings.

David will be sharing his Ground Zero experiences with natural disasters and in mass causalities events in such a method that helps prepare leaders in higher education.

  • 8:30 a.m. – RAC-DOS Meeting
  • 12:00 p.m. – Meeting concludes with lunch

Event Cancellation Policies:
To change or cancel your registration, call (706) 542-7493, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. (3) If an event is cancelled for any reason, the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel will not be responsible for any charges related to travel.

Hotel Costs:
Hotel accommodations on the evening of November 1, 2022 are being provided by the University System of Georgia, Mental Health Initiative. You should email Chip Reese to reserve your hotel space.
