The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel concept was born in the early 1950’s when the W.K. Kellogg Foundation granted $2.44 million to construct a building that would become the premier provider of professional educational advancement for adults while providing a residence for the same.
As a unit of Public Service & Outreach at the University of Georgia, the Center for Continuing Education & Hotel enriches the lives of generations of learners and produces lasting impact through outstanding educational programs and services.
Our mission is made reality by designing and implementing lifelong learning opportunities that serve to enhance the professional and personal development of learners.
Today, we continue to stand as the primary continuing education arm of the University of Georgia where faculty members from across the UGA campus are sought out to participate in the program-development process, thus bringing together all disciplines of the University in meeting the lifelong learning needs of Georgia’s citizens, as well as national and international audiences.
