HR Resources Available for Personal Planning

As a UGA employee, being aware of the available resources can make all the difference in preparing for life-changing events. Whether the event is expanding your family, caring for a family member, or executing advance planning documents, knowing what is available helps you organize and prepare for the future.

Presenters:

Joanna Manzi, assistant director – benefits, UGA Human Resources
Joanna has over 27 years of human resource experience and joined UGA HR in 2004. She started with UHR as a benefits counselor, counseling UGA employees and retirees on every aspect of their benefits. For 14 years, she managed all aspects of the UGA student health insurance plans and serves on the USG Student Health Insurance Plan Advisory Committee. Currently, Joanna serves as the assistant director, benefits. Joanna holds a bachelor’s in business administration – human resources from the University of Georgia and MPER human resource management from the University of South Carolina.
Baileigh Barnes, assistant director of transaction services-wellbeing, UGA Human Resources
Baileigh joined University Human Resources 8 years ago in the benefits accounting department and was responsible for reconciling benefit plans, including health insurance and retirement. She served on the OneSource Project as the absence management lead, which transitioned UGA from legacy payroll and HR operations to OneUSG Connect. She currently serves as an assistant director of transaction services – wellbeing. Baileigh earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from North Georgia College and State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Georgia College and State University.
